Why September is the best time to visit St. Peter-Ording

On the coast, September is considered the insider’s favourite month. The Wadden Sea still holds the warmth of the summer months, while the beach becomes noticeably quieter and more spacious. Along the 12-kilometre sandy beach, you’ll easily find your own favourite spot between the stilt houses. For more insights into what makes this sandbank so unique, see our guide to St. Peter-Ording Beach.

At the same time, the town comes alive in September with a varied programme of events. From fast-paced wind and sailing sports to live concerts and cosy markets, you’ll experience the North Sea in all its facets.
